Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
- You'll start your hike at the Marangu Gate, which is the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. After completing the necessary registration formalities, you'll begin trekking through the rainforest.
- The trail is well-maintained, and you'll pass through beautiful scenery, including lush vegetation and diverse wildlife.
- The first day's hike is relatively short, and you'll reach Mandara Hut (2,700 meters/8,858 feet) in around 4-6 hours. This hut will be your accommodation for the night.
